I completely forgot about this book until I came home on Canada Day. Several years ago I took a design class, and my professor, Toshi Katayama, who soon after retired, compiled the the works of his students throughout the years and had them published by the Kyoto University of Art and Design. On page 169, you can find a piece that I designed when I was still trying to get the hang of Adobe Illustrator.
The project brief was to create a poster representing a country; at the time, I was interested in pursuing studies in psychology so I had opted to create a poster for Austria. I created a phrenology “map” of the head by labeling the regions of the brain with different psychologists and psychoanalysts, making sure to illustrate the country’s borders in the center.
