Usually I post earlier in the week but this past week has been incredibly hectic; moving and seeing people has taken up more of my energy than I thought. Somehow, I believed that I should take up the challenge of moving all my stuff (to an office on campus) without the aid of a taxi. Surprisingly, I’ve done a pretty good job in moving the heavy duty items – lamp, all-in-one printer, vacuum cleaner, and cooking supplies. All that’s left is the computer monitor, speakers (with subwoofer), and one more cooking pot.
It’s always a big underestimation of how much stuff I own, and you only begin to realize when you start packing up and moving bit by bit. Of course, if I hadn’t made more additions since moving to this new apartment for the summer, I would’ve been finished moving already. But having that external monitor has made working so much easier for me (not only am I not worried about frying my wrists on the hot laptop, but I get a bigger screen).
Of course, with that said, this is only part one of moving to France. I still have to grab whatever I have left and bring it up to Canada, and then figure out what to take across the Atlantic by streamlining my packing list. So now you can figure out why I have a Kindle instead of a pile of books.
Say hello to what remains of my Lenox Hill apartment
