In the event that you haven’t been active on any social networks connected to me within the last 72 hours, then you’ll perhaps find this to be news. And for those that have been following me, only some of what I have to say will be new.
With the end of the spring semester and commencement for the class of 2011, my year-long contract with Steinhardt has come to a close. For the past year, I was featured and highlighted as one of the student bloggers, bringing in a student perspective on an international front, what with me being in Paris for the whole academic year. Aside from the rotation of front-page feature and Twitter mentions, my blog was highlighted on the At a Glance Steinhardt blog maintained by Debra Weinstein; that entry can be found by clicking here.
Recently, the position of assistant director for external affairs for the media, culture, and communications department became available. Granted, I cannot work full-time what with my schedule, but I feel as though I would be a great choice to improve and direct the department’s visibility – both offline and online – as well as relations. In any case, I am pitching myself through this visual cover letter, which perhaps some of you have already seen, in hopes of scoring the job (or some tailored version of it given my situation).
Not to mention, my Slideshare was featured on the home page, much like some of my other presentations.
